I ♥ Memphis.

No matter how bourgeois I get, listening to Bach chorales, and Chopin Nocturnes, and singing Mozart Arias, I will love and respect Memphis music, Memphis Rap to be exact. Every time I come home, I turn it on Hot 107 and K97 just to see if there's something hot out, locally.

Well, I went to the club with my sis Saturday night and the DJ played this song and I had to pull out my phone and try to catch a lyric or two so I could google it. Turns out the song is by a Memphis rapper named Gyft. He's pretty new to the scene but this song goes SO HARD! I see him doing big things in the future locally and across the map. And FYI-The sample is from a Jimi Hendrix track titled "Come On (Let the Good Times Roll)"
